Alex and his wife started running their own Internet business in 2005 right after Alex got out of the Navy.

Alex is a total computer geek programmer who loves to hack and works mostly in PHP and Ruby on Rails. He wrote his first shareware program back in the ’90s.

He was on the net by ’93 and built his first site by ’96.

Alex graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering.

Along the way, Alex spent 8 years as a U.S. Naval officer and was certified as a nuclear submarine engineer.

They sell niche products such as chocolate fondue fountains and other catering equipment, and operate 3 eBay stores and four web stores including Sarahs Sweet Fountains.

They are running a dozen blogs written by Alex and 10 other bloggers. He has a few assistants.

They have a health food blog and a wealth building blog.

Alexander also does some unique affiliate marketing.

You might have caught Alex speaking at Pubcon 2007 when he spoke on monetizing social media traffic and also about dedicated servers.

He moves back and forth between Nova Scotia and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Check out Alexander’s new app “Easy Tweets”   It is a tool he built for online marketers to leverage Twitter.  It launched mid-July, and so far he has posted more than 20,000 “tweets” to Twitter.   Mashable reviewed them on their launch day and said it was “an almost perfect web-based Twitter management tool”
