I met Al at the Elite Retreat this year. If you walk up to Al, you
are instantly his friend. A big warm guy who lives in Nottingham,
yep that’s right, Robin Hoods old hangout. His British accent is as thick
as a pint of Guinness. If you run into trouble and need a good translator,
just ask Andy Liu, who speaks British very well!
Al has 60,000 RSS followers of his busiest blog, Coolest Gadgets. They
serve up a few million page views per month.
The things he has figured out that have worked are often generously
shared on his personal blog, Self Made Minds.

Al has succeeded in an area where many have failed, which is monetizing his blogs until they actually make him a good living, and by scaling his blogging by hiring writers.
I can tell from conversations with Al that he strongly values his staff, and that he is good at finding them.
In addition to his blog business savvy, Al backs his success up with a degree in software engineering.
Al will tell you that the greatest classroom he has found is being face to face with others in the Internet business world.
