Stephan Spencer is an inventor that makes money while he sleeps using a product he made himself called GravityStream. GravityStream is a Software-as-a-Service where clients pay on a cost-per-click basis for natural search traffic. Stephan sold GravityStream to Covario Inc. along with his other company, Netconcepts.

He is an O’Reilly-published author that helped write The Art of SEO, a book about, well, the art of SEO. Mr. Spencer has been back in the states since ‘07 from living in New Zealand for 8 years while running his U.S. based business.

In Stephan’s family, entrepreneurship is in his blood. His oldest of three teenage daughters is an online entrepreneur. She uses AdSense to rank her website, Ultimate Neopets Cheats Site on page 1 in Google for “neopets”. Neopets is a popular virtual pets site owned by Nickelodeon.

Apart from being a successful Internet entrepreneur, Stephan is a racquetball champ, playing in several leagues. He also enjoys downhill skiing on the occasion.

Stephan is a frequent conference speaker on SEO and other online marketing topics for the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), American Marketing Association (AMA), Shop.org, Internet Retailer, SMX, IncisiveMedia (Search Engine Strategies), O’Reilly/TechWeb, PubCon, ECMOD, IQPC and IIR. His hundreds of speaking gigs have taken him around the globe – everywhere from Berlin, London, Toronto, Santiago, and Auckland, to New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and places in between.
