The poker tourney should be tons of fun tonight. We are going to grab In and Out Burgers for all the players. It will go from 7:00 to 9:30. It is $100 to buy in. If you want to play, just bring cash, $105, when you show up. It is at Mirage Poker Room at 7:00 tonight.

CreditReport.com and I are throwing a mini thinktank on Monday at 4:30 during Affiliate Summit.

Most of the parties at Affiliate Summit are too loud to to talk, full of Newbies, crowded, and honestly most people are so drunk that real business and real conversation can’t get done.

CreditReport.com and I are putting on a VIP invite only event.

We are issuing a public invitation to apply, but you need to be reviewed by me, approved and invited by me to get in.

Link Research Tools and Purpose Inc Poker Tourney

After the party at 7:00 is the poker tourney. It will be over in time for those going to the Affiliate Ball or Jason from Ads4Dough’s little tea party.

Chris Cemper, the founder of Link Research Tools, and a bad ass dude that I have followed for almost a decade, has kicked in big time to allow the poker tourney to take place this year. Every player gets an In N Out Burger.

I figured there must be a lot of great companies that could help.

One that I always recomend for helping with this type of work, who do excellent work and do it white hat is IMN, the company of Jim Boykin we all know as We Build Pages.

I want the links to be as diverse as possible, so at Pubcon this year I was talking to other companies as well.

Overall I was extremely disappointed, and realized what Jim does and what I do is some of the best work around, and is totally white hat.

One company sounded really interesting.

I asked them to send me some url’s of sites they get links from.

They are nice guys, and I still might use their company, so I am not going to out them, but what happened next was totally hilarious.

They said, “well we don’t usually give out the url’s of the sites the links come from, but in this case we will give you an example”. They then gave me a link to this site.

I entered the url, and this is what I found. Not a very good promotion for quality links. ROFL.

Lately I’ve been cruising around the blogosphere a lot more lately while working on my newest turbo charged, black velvet, white gloved online semi-combustible money making project.  I’ve noticed bloggers have, for the most part, started monetizing their sites and are using lots of 2007 monetization strategies, i.e: adsense or ad networks, totally missing the long term value of their readers.

It has been about a year since the last BlogWorld so I am going to be curious to see if there are real bloggers there or not.
