Eli,

Yeh, it's kind of a sensitive subject no matter what angle you look at it. I just tend to go at things head on with as positive a take as possible.

Thanks very much for the kind words, and your hard work for our country. Very appreciated!

Honestly, as a 3 time veteran of Iraq (a total of 38 months since 03), I honestly find some of your comments to be the most insensitive I have ever read. But hey, I'm down, maybe they describe they're legs as way cool too. I'm done venting, sorry. Honestly, all you guys have to look at, is this is our job, that's how we look at it. Getting blown up, is honestly just a rough day at the office. I love my country, and I will do anything I can to protect that, and luckily enough for me, that's my 9-5. Thank you for covering this, and seeing the heart and importance in it, however, if you don't mind, a little sensitivity.Thank you, Eli, 3-101st Airborne

Way Kool....strangely enuf being named Randy and undefeated back in my kickboxing days (7-0) Im a massive fan of Randy Couture, a true gentelman. Im not much older than Randy but I retired at 21 and was famous for about 15 minutes, lol. Its awesome that Randy uses his fame in this way and that his family, staff and friends get behind him with this. These guys fight for freedom for all the world, not just the US.. everyone may not agree with all the wars that are fought but there is no denying the courage and believes of the men of the US Armed Forces and we salute them... Randy from Downunder, Australia.

I love it, good works and fightng as a family activity. Fantastic. I have looked over thispost a few times now and I still think the whole thing is so cool. Being form a military family it is nice to know that we aren't forgotten. I really appriciate it when celebraties use thier fame for good things, not really to make a statement, but just to help from thier hearts;to do something that it not about them. This is an event I would love to participate in in the future.
I also appriciate the atmoshpere of equality that training gym has. A lot of places in the country men will not train, in fighting, with women. These people kick a** in the best way!

Love those photos, David -- they really give a sense of how excited and enthusiastic you all were about the run, and about getting together. I'm glad it was such a super weekend. Here's something I wondered about, though: were the Marines who were counting cadence also running in step? Must be pretty hard to keep from losing your breath when you're singing AND running! -- Betsy

Way to hold up to that MASSIVE head lock, DK! Sounds like a great time was had by all, and for a good cause! Let me know the next time you go. For now, I guess you'll have to resort to kickin' some subluxation ass in the office...

DK, it's so awesome that you got to be a part of that. It seems like you were surrounded by truly genuine people.

I'm really glad that Randy didn't hurt you! Here in the office, we need you in one piece!!
