These are the rough drawings I am sending off tonight to the t-shirt producer.

The finals will, if god is willing be ready on Thursday for the Pubcon Event, but no promises.

Feel free to put these three images of the T-shirt on your blog, but don’t make any promises. You can just say they are rough drawings that are on their way to a T-shirt manufacturer. The time schedule is so tight putting this Pubcon Event together, that there is no way to say for sure what will happen as far as the T-shirts go.

I have gotten quite a few requests for graphics that people can put on their sites.

Here is a rough mock up of the graphic for the T-Shirt for the SEO poker event. I am looking for feedback. I would like feedback from sponsors, players, and anyone in the SEO community.

I still need permission from the Venetian before I can make these widely available. Then I plan on having different versions in different sizes that people can post on their blogs.

For some reason in some of the earlier postings it stretched her out and made her taller.

We need to collect all of the money from the sponsors by Monday night, otherwise there will not be t-shirts. Any money paid by sponsors will be returned to them if we don’t collect enough to make the shirts.The shirts will be all black, long sleeve, with the logo on the back.

I also would like to hear if people prefer a thicker t-shirt, or a thin one.

Sponsors should also send me high quality large graphics so the resolution comes out perfect on the final shirts.

The t-shirts will be long sleeved black and will have on of the graphics as well as the announcement of the tournament and listings of the sponsors.

I am designing the T-shirt for the Texas Holdem tournament at Pubcon. I want to hear from you during the design process, so I am going to experiment with Sphinn as a survey tool. Sphinn this one if you prefer the clubs girl, but look at the hearts first!

The T-shirts are going to start with these drawings, and then be built on from there with sponsors names, the name of the tournament etc.

Look at both pictures, and then choose which one you think would look better on the back of a T-shirt by Sphining it.

I am planning on long sleeve black t-shirts, but feel free to comment if you suggest a better one.

Microsoft announced their Pubcon party will be on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00. As this will conflict with the starting time of the Poker Tournament I called my contact at the Venitian Poker room and they were gracious enough to change the starting time of the tournament. There are enough Pubcon Parties this time to kill you!

The Purposeinc 2007 SEO Poker Tournament

It should be the best Pubcon party there is!

Reminder, please go to the Venetian Hotel site and sign up for a Players Club membership which I believe is free before the night of the tournament.

Note: Dec. 2, 07 It is funny that one of the main reasons I set this party up was that last year there was the Microsoft Pubcon Party, (which I was not invited to), the Yahoo Pubcon Party, (which I was also not invited to), and the Google Party (which was in the conference and was for everyone. Since I did not get invited to these parties, and I knew that many others did not either, I figured it would be cool to throw the everyman’s  party at Pubcon 2007.

It turns out though that other great minds have gotten the same idea. The usual three, Google, Yahoo, and MSN are all throwing them, and Rand Fiskin is throwing the party of all parities with the Werefolf Contest (not by the way Wherewolf as I initially thought it was). There is also going to be a golf tournament, which I was told was closed, but don’t quote me on that or count on it! Also I have heard of a dinner get together, free show tickets given out by Joe Morin, and rumors of other events taking place.

Thanks to all who are organizing, as this I am sure will be the Pubcon to remember. I just wonder if anyone is going to make it to the sessions, or if they will all still be sleeping in.

The Pubcon Poker Event (Not one of the official Pubcon Events) is starting to gather some cool sponsors. Best of The Web, BOTW has offered to kick in to help.

I also got word back from Chipotle Burritos that they are giving a coupon worth about 8 bucks to each player of the tournament for a free burrito. I have close friendship ties with Chipotle and they made big donations to the fire fighters in San Diego when we were bringing food out to them and doing chiropractic during the fires last month.

By the way I am still looking for another sponsor to kick in around $1500 for a killer project during the tournament. It will give the sponsor some serious eyeball exposure. Again, I am not making a cent off of this.

I have been working on my charity research and have reached some conclusions.

First off thank you to all of the ideas that poured in from webmaster world members, from this site, and from patients and friends.

Lesson 1, is that there are no perfect charities. I noticed that on Matt Cutts blog when he yacked about Google collecting money for San Diego fire victims he actually took criticism for that. So, if we are all in agreement that there are no perfect charities, here is my list of the charities that will be donated to. The money will be divided evenly between each of the charities listed below.

1. John Dau Foundation

The civil war in the Southern Sudan of Africa has been going on for over 20 years and has just wound down. Are you kidding me? Can you imagine 20 years of little girls being raped and killed, young boys being forced into armies, and never, ever a chance to sit and enjoy a sunset without the fear your head is about to be blown off?

Well John Dau was one of those guys, and after finding the good life he decided to just help out back home in the Sudan. This is a favorite charity of Angela and Bradd so it will just have to be good enough for us too!

The money is going to the basics, learning to read, medical centers for real honest helpful medicine like stitching up someone’s leg, or removing a cataract so someone can see. Deal me in on this one!

2. FireFighters who became Burn Victims from the recent Fires in San Diego. The story simply goes that a man and his son were trapped in their rural home and four fire fighters went in to save them. One of the firefighters made it out o.k. but three of them were severely burned while saving the kid. The father unfortunately died. I believe that one of the hospitalized firefighters is out of the hospital now, but two of them are still in there about a half mile from my house. Here is the pilots story.

3. Wife of a FireFighter who died during the fire. This is a guy who worked with one of my patients as a Federal FireFighter. When only a few months from retirement he passed away the week of the fires. Unfortunately his widow, from what I have heard, will not receive his retirement because he was still a few months short. He did not die in the fire, so there is apparently no extra pay for passing while on duty. This one is also really close to home for me.

4. Criminon Quote from their website

“The rehabilitative technology employed by Criminon will some day soon be utilized by prison systems worldwide, as such methods represent the only true workable means to handle the burdensome criminal populations.”

I think the above quote just about wraps it up. They specialize in teaching criminals around the world good study skills, good ethics, communication skills, drug rehabilitation, and vocational rehabilitation. Bottom line they have great statistics on preventing criminals from returning to prison. You can read some of the individual success stories here.

5. I really like the way this charity is set up. It is called Wherever the Need. I wanted to find an charity in the Asian part of the world. This charity delivers money directly for projects, not just for a general charity. The one I picked is a school that has 3500 children and a 138 teachers but does not always have water.

They often can go days without water to do the basics like wash hands, dishes, or flush the toiltets. Personally I complain if we are out of butter, or the bread isn’t fresh or if Outlook crashes. Imagine not being able to flush the toiltet that that is being shared by 100′s of kids? I am ready to pay to here that flush. They simply need a water pump and a septic tank and they will be in business. The expected cost is £5,000. Not too much to ask for the safety of like 3000 kids?

I am also going to set up some buttons on the registration if you want to make larger charity donations and either have them go to the general fund, or to one of the specific charities listed above.
